What Are Steps?
Steps are like the miles on an airline mileage program — but since we walk trails instead of fly planes, they’re steps!
Each step gets you closer to the Peak Reward. Once you’ve earned the Peak Reward, you can use steps to redeem any of the rewards from along the way.
How Do I Earn Steps?
If you are a Referral or Net Rate partner with Northern Epics, every client you book with us earns you steps. For every dollar your agency spends with Northern Epics, you earn ten steps.

Am I Eligible for Rewards?
$1 Spent = 10 Steps
Only partners with a Referral or Net Rate relationship can earn steps. If you have one of those relationships with us, you’re already enrolled and earning steps! You don’t have to do anything. In agencies, commission ledges affect the entire agency, but physical rewards can only be claimed by the advisor/agent who has the highest sales with Northern Epics at the time the reward was achieved. For individual travel advisors, it’s all you, baby!
Peak Progression
At each Camp you get a reward. Below are the Camps, the number of steps you need to reach them, and the rewards for each Camp. Total commission cannot go higher than 25% through the Peak Partner Program.
How Can I Tell How Many Steps I Have?
Unfortunately we don’t currently have a way for you to log in and see a live-updated step total. We’re not tech whizzes, but we’re working on it. For now, you’ll get a monthly sales report telling you how many points you currently have and how many you still need to reach the next Camp.

What Happens After I’ve Earned the Peak Reward?
Once you’ve earned the Peak Reward, you’re not done climbing! After reaching the summit you’ll parachute down, resetting your steps to zero. Then you can start climbing (earning steps) again. But the rewards are a little different! There won’t be any more commission ledges. Instead, you’ll be able to redeem steps for any of the physical rewards you passed on your climb. If you had to pick one earlier and want the other option instead, you can buy it with steps!

If your client decides their booking with Northern Epics, any steps that you earned from that booking will be removed. If that step removal causes you to fall below a reward Camp that you’ve already earned, you get to keep that reward. However, you will not be rewarded that Camp’s rewards a second time when you pass it again.

The answer to this question depends on the type of agency or consortia you’re part of.
If they allow you to work directly with suppliers and earn commission directly from them, you can sign up as a solo travel agent or advisor.
If they do not, you can let us know what’s going on and we can try to get something worked out with your agency or consortia. You should also personally recommend that your agency or consortia partner with us, as that greatly increases the likelihood that that will happen.

Commission rewards are very fast, usually having already taken affect by the time you receive your monthly sales report.
Physical rewards take a bit longer, as you must first choose which reward you want, then we need to get it delivered, and finally sent to you. Unfortunately I don’t have a specific timeline for this, as we keep some rewards on hand and some not.
What I can promise you is that we’ll get you your rewards as fast as we possibly can!
