Alaska State Fair!!

This past week we had the pleasure of going to the Alaska State Fair! 

Within the fair you will find your typical fair foods, corndogs, cheesecurds, turkey legs, cotton candy and things of the like! You will also find fresh salmon, fry bread, halibut oysters and so many more Alaskan staples. We personally tried oysters and a salmon quesadilla, both were delicious! 

Many vendors throughout the fair were local Alaskan businesses showcasing art, merchandise, foods and more. It was a fun time browsing local artists' work and handmade goods. My friends and I got our faces painted and some got caricatures! We also rode some of the rides, they had a few fan favorites, the zipper and the G-force. 

We also stopped by a few of the beer tents/barns that they had! The drink options were good with lots of local brewery and cidery options. There was also live music at the majority of them which was super fun and groovy!
